Business Card of Graphische Kunstanstalt Fr. Ant. Niedermayr
The card from the second half of the 19th century shows a view of Regensburg at the top, with the cathedral towers drawn in by hand. Modern steamships travel along the Danube.
The guardian figures from the main portal of Regensburg’s Old Town Hall frame the city keys in the coat of arms. Allegorical figures with roller, water, brush and palette symbolise the arts of printing and lithography.
In the lower image field, Poseidon leads two thoroughbreds by the reins, with sailing ships visible on the open sea behind them.
We look forward to welcoming you to our printing and demonstration workshop in the AltstadtQuartier.
